Okay, I know nearly everyone on here reading my blog and visiting my website listens to beach music. Not everyone listens to beach music 24/7 or is in an area to be fortunate to hear it on the radio all the time. What other types of music genres do you listen on a regular basis? BTW. I consider Beach Music a music genre. Many do not . If we can get enough members in the CBMA…the Grammy Awards may recognize our industry one day. How cool would it be to see the Beach Music Song of the year awarded on TV during the Grammys?
I like to listen to beach music by Carolina bands, oldies on WNCT 107.9, and country.
I like R&R & Top40 from the '50's-'80's, classic rock, classic country ('50's-'90's), and songs from the Great American Songbook (Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter, etc.). I also listen to the Muzak Shag Beach channel at work at least once a week.
My husband and I love Sirius sattelite radio, so my favorite station on there is Classic Rewind, which plays the classic rock of the late 70’s and 80’s. I’m a classic rock junkie….growing up in the 70’s how could I not be?
