How have things been in your world? We worked a good bit the last couple of weeks and I’ve finally gotten back to the computer to let you know how things were for us. On the 11th, we had a great time in Columbia at Jillian’s and the place was packed like it always is. The next day, we played the “pre-party” for The Pirates’ Beach Bash in Greenville, NC. Then on Saturday, the 13th, we had a great time at The Heritage Festival in Ahoskie, NC before heading to Myrtle Beach for SOS. Sunday night at 2001 was the first chance for most people to pick up our new CD, A Perfect 10. We had a great time and sold many, many CDs. Thanks go out to all of you who purchased one this past week (and also to Judith, Lesley and Renee for managing the store for us). Selling CD #10 makes it possible to create CD #11, so keep your eyes open…
Wow is SOS Fall Migration over? It was one BIG party! We were able to “hang out” and party with a lot of musicians and other friends on our days off and the time on the clock didn’t seem to have any control over it. It seemed that 24 hours in one day wasn’t enough to contain all that occurred. There is no way to list everyone we ran into but you all know we had a great time with you. It was a real bonus to get to hang out with Bo the WebGuy Thanks, again!
We worked in Shelby, NC with DJ Johnny B for the last Alive After Five of their season on Thursday, the 18th, and the people were ready for it. “Thank you” Johnny B; you do a great job and we appreciate it. We returned to the beach on Friday to play at Fat Harold’s and we had a great crowd and a great time (and sold alot more CDs). After finishing at 5pm we had to hurry to make it to our job that night at Wrightsville Beach where Doug Winstead sat in with us for the entire show and did a great job helping us out. Thanks, Doug!
And, now that we’re all rested up, we’re ready to get at it again. Make your plans now – ’cause you know how it works – “Good things happen when you party with The Fantastic Shakers!”
