You need to join the CBMA as an academy member by tomorrow, August 15th, to be able to nominate for this year’s awards. Everyone that has joined as of September 15th will be able to vote once the ballots are set and sent out. As I mentioned last week, the deadline was extended due to a printing error on some of the forms mailed out. Join the CBMA today!.

With the growth of the Internet and ability for many people to start their own Beach Music Internet radio station, the CBMA has added a new category this year, Internet Radio Station of the Year. I have to give my plug ..if you will please nominate – “Shag City USA – Jeff Gilder, Bo Gilbert and Keith Houston”. Shag City is the home of Southern Soul Radio and the Carolina’s Best Beach Music. Survey Winner – On Sunday, I asked a question about the groups that Bo Schronce has been a member. Congrats Beth Strother! Winner of the Triple CD Set. She told me she had to do some research to make sure she had them all. We had a lot of entries that got 4 and 5, but only 1 has submitted an entry with all eight groups.
