I have been away from the blogs.. I apologize for dropping off the beach music scene for a bit. The big April events came and went. Its now the middle of May and the summer is heating up. Thanks for all the response on my last beach music support blog post. It is important to support all of the bands… speaking of bands. I am working with a new one.. this one is REAL.. and news will be out very soon. Some friends helped me out on facebook last week. I can’t wait to announce more information as we get closer to the debut.

Happy Beach Music Day
Is there going to be a Beach Music Day in NC or SC this year? To me, every day is a Happy Beach Music Day.. in years past I have seen information about cities as well as North Carolina and South Carolina celebrating a day proclaimed as Beach Music Day. I can’t find anything official about anything as far as an annual celebration. If anyone knows anything or has seen a specific date for 2014.. please let me know.
Band of Oz in Dunn April 27th

Beach Clubs and Lounges
I wanted to throw this out there and say Thank You to the clubs and lounges on Main Street and Ocean Drive. Thanks for providing a place to dance, see and hear the bands, listen to the tunes of the DJs and enjoy being with friends that love beach music and the Shag Dance. There is a lot of talk about who keeps this thing we call beach music and the shag going… I think we are very lucky to have so many places right here in North Myrtle Beach that provide what our beach music lifestyle desires.

IT BE TIME for another party in North Myrtle Beach. The Adults are coming to NMB for Spring Break 2014. That’s right! Another Spring Safari hosted by SOS. Newest Band to Hit the Scene
I am excited to hear that the new band is being announced today. Look for the new website and schedule coming out just in time for SOS this weekend. Albert Rogers, Doug Winstead, Hugh Blanton, Guy Brooks and Little John Thompson have all recently decided to go out and form the ultimate band – 5th Bass!
